Message from Routt County

  • The Routt County Assessor’s Office will be moving to a new web site by mid-November.
  • The data on the assessor’s existing web site is now frozen and only current as of Friday, October 28th and will remain frozen indefinitely on this web site.
  • Training & Demonstration on the new web site will be available for all interested Public users on Thursday, November 10th at 5:30pm (tentative schedule subject to change). This will take place in the commissioner’s hearing room (3rd floor of historic courthouse - 522 Lincoln Ave.)
  • The Assessor’s new web site is now available for public viewing, the web address for this new site is http://agner.co.routt.co.us/assessor/web - for current owner information; please use this site from now on. The old web site and its searching functions will remain available for Public use for a period of several weeks (thru mid-January most likely) before being taken off-line for good.
  • During the next two months, both the old and new web sites will operate concurrently; the Assessor encourages all users to try their property searches on the familiar "old" site and then again using the "new" site to best learn and gain confidence on the new web site and its searching capabilities. The new site will have a very different look & feel to it, requiring some getting use to. Not all searching capabilities available on the old site will be available on the new site (i.e., the "Exclude" check mark box).

Assessor's New Web Page

This selection displays individual parcel information such as taxes, building characteristics, legal description and value.

This selection allows a group of parcels to be extracted based upon generally requested criteria. For example, all residential parcels within a subdivision could be selected. Two file formats are available to download the information into your personal computer.

This selection provides access to a sales database. Again, groups of sales can be extracted based upon generally requested criteria and downloaded into your personal computer.

This selection displays information on all recorded documents and allows viewing and printing of the recorded document image. Not all document images are available.

The aim and endeavor of the Assessor is to make a just assessment of property, in order to insure that the burden of taxes is distributed equally in accordance with the amount of property each taxpayer owns. In an effort to equalize the assessments among all property owners, this office will continue a thorough reappraisal program. We appreciate all the assistance you can offer and thank you for your cooperation with this effort.
